Brasil Futebol Arte (video spot)
This was a four second video spot proposal done for TV in the year of World Cup, by me, Leon Vilhena & Thiago Monteiro (Almanaque06). We decided to do it in one day, and so me and Leon went to Thiago’s house. Considering that every time Leon and Thiago meet they have to play Fifa Soccer or Fifa Street or whatever, the idea was to somehow use the video game to do the job. We set a glass surface on the TV, and at every good move by one of the players, we replayed, frame by frame, so Thiago could draw at the surface of the glass as a rotoscope. At the same time I did the lettering manually. Then we just scanned the drawings and animated them, without any later refinement. Today I find it a little bit too unfinished, maybe we should have done it all over again. What do you think?
